Sentinels Huge Week of Transactions

It has been a massive week for the Indiana Sentinels as they continue to build their roster for the 2026-2027 season. Looking to improve on their inaugural year, the Sentinels have brought back a lot of familiar faces but have also introduced some new blood to the squad.

On Monday, Indiana announced the PTO signing of defenseman Nolan Renke. Renke has spent the past six seasons across the pond in Germany where he racked up 8 goals, 31 assists and 39 points in 273 games played. Head Coach Everett Thompson describes Renke as “a physical, gritty defenseman who’s tough to play against. We’re excited to have him here and expect him to make a big impact on our blue line this season.”

Wednesday saw another defenseman PTO signing in the form of Ryan Brow. From 2022 to 2025, Brow was with NCAA Division 3 SUNY Brockport before transferring to Adrian College in the ACHA for his final college season. Last year Brow put up 12 points (1 goal, 11 assists) in 35 games for the Adrian Bulldogs. Thompson said, “Ryan joins us after an outstanding collegiate career, playing NCAA hockey before finishing with a powerhouse program at Adrian. He’s a steady, dependable defenseman who moves the puck well and competes every shift. We’re excited to see the impact he’ll have on our blue line and believe he’ll be a big piece of our defensive group this season.”

The major news came on Thursday afternoon when it was announced that Denver Craig will return to the Indiana Sentinels next season. Craig started the year with the Blue Ridge Bobcats before signing with the Sentinels in November. In his 14 games with Indiana, Craig posted 8 goals and 11 assists for 19 points in just 14 games played. Craig’s stunning play earned him a chance to play in the SPHL with the Knoxville Ice Bears and Quad City Storm. In the SPHL, Denver had 6 goals, 3 assists and 9 points in 22 games. Everett Thompson spoke on Denver Craig returning: “Denver is one of the most exciting signings of our offseason. He came in midway through last season and immediately fit in with our group, our culture, and the community. His success on the ice followed, and we’re thrilled to have him back to compete for us this season. We expect him to play a big role in what we’re building here.”

Finally, the extremely busy Indiana Sentinels wrapped up a busy week by completing a trade with the Danbury Hat Tricks which sent away the rights to Colin Tracy in exchange for forwards Milan Breczko and Brendan Lynch. Tracy was brilliant for the Indiana Sentinels last season on the back before heading to the SPHL to finish out the remainder of the season with the Knoxville Ice Bears and the Birmingham Bulls. Breczko and Lynch will help bolster the Sentinels offensive units.

Milan Breczko is coming off his first full season in the FPHL where he split time with Blue Ridge and Danbury scoring 4 goals, 13 assists and 17 points in 46 games played. Meanwhile, Brendan Lynch only played in one game last year for Danbury but spent the past four seasons with Southern New Hampshire University in the NCAA Division 3. There, Lynch posted consistent numbers every season with a total of 27 goals, 66 assists and 93 points in 113 games played. In his time at SNHU, Lynch was NE10 All-Conference Rookie Team in 2023, NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, NE10 First-Team All-Conference in 2025, and NE10 Second-Team All-Conference in 2026.

A massive week for the Indiana Sentinels may be over, but that does not mean the fun has stopped. With training camp right around the corner, look for the Sentinels to continue adding more depth to their roster and signing players to PTOs for a chance to make the team out of training camp in September.
